| The Patrouille de France, the Armé de l'Air aerobatic team have operated the Alpha Jet since 1980. The team fly nine aircraft in a verity of spectacular formations. Unusually for a trainer of its size, the alpha jet has two engines, SNECMA/Turboméca Larzac C5 turbofans, these give a maximum speed (clean) at sea level of 576 mph (927 km/h) The combat radius with maximum external load including five minutes combat is 255 miles (410 km), ferry range with maximum internal fuel is 1,727 miles (2,780 km) The weight of the trainer version is (empty) 7,374 lb. (3,345 kg), strike version 7,716 lb. (3,500 kg). The normal take-off weight is trainer (clean) 11,023 lb. (5,000 kg) The maximum take-off weight of the strike version with external stores is 16,535 lb. (7,500 kg). other Operators of the Alpha Jet include Belgium, Cameroon, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Nigeria, Qatar, and Togo. |

| The Frecce Tricolori are considered by many to be the most exciting aerobatic in the world, there is no doubt that they they have exceptional flair, and that any opportunity to see them should not be missed. Part of the display routine unique to the The Frecce Tricolori is a formation take-off and landing sequence, another unique feature of the display is the crazy flying sequence, this has to be seen to be believed. The Aermacchi MB.339PAN, is the aircraft flown by the Aeronautica Militare Italiana aerobatic display team, The Frecce Tricolori (tri-coloured arrows) This team is the only one in the world to use ten aircraft in its displays. The Aermacchi MB.339 is a advanced trainer and close-support aircraft, power is provided by one Piaggio built Rolls Royce Viper 632-43 turbojet engine of 4,000 lb. (1,814 kg) The Aermacchi MB.339PAN as flown by The Frecce Tricolori since 1982, differs from other versions in that it is fitted with a smoke generating system, and the wing-tip tanks are deleted. The maximum speed of the MB.339 is 559 mph (900 km/h) at sea level, the initial rate of climb is 6,594 feet (2,010 m) per minute, the service ceiling is 48,000 feet (14,630 m) |

| The CASA C 101 Aviojet, is seen here flown by Spain's Patrulla Aguila, the Aerobatic team of the Spanish Air Force. The first examples of this model were delivered in march 1980. The prototype of the C 101 trainer first flew in June 1977, production began in early 1978, the Spanish Air Force using 88 as E 25 trainers. The C 101 BB is also used by Chile, Honduras, and Jordan. The Aviojet is powered by one Garrett TFE731-2-J turbofan engine of 3,500 lb. (1588 kg) thrust. this gives a maximum speed of 420 mph (676 km/h) at sea level, at 25,000 feet Mach 0.69. The initial rate of climb is 3,345 feet (1,020 m) per minute, the service ceiling is 41,010 feet (12,500 m) the ferry range is 2,485 miles (4,000 km) The basic operating weight is 6,519 lb. (2,957 kg). Three hard-points under each wing can carry up to 4,409 lb. (2,000 kg) of stores consisting of bombs, missiles, napalm canisters or rocket pods. |
