Probably the best Transport "Workhorse" built since the Douglas DC 3, the Lockheed C-130 Hercules is the choice of many Airforces World-wide.  It is powered by four Allison T56-A-15 turboprops each of 4,508 ehp  The Hercules has been built in a vast number of versions.  It usually has a crew of five and accommodates up to 92 troops, 64 paratroops, 74 litter patients, or up to five 463L freight pallets.  The maximum speed is 345 mph (555 km/h), and the range with maximum payload of 50,000 lb. (22,680 kg) is 840 miles (1,352 km).  The wingspan is 74 feet 8 inches (22.6 m).  The Hercules first entered service in 1961, it is almost certain that it will see more then fifty years of service.  The very rugged undercarriage enables the Hercules to operate from unmade airstrips, this feature has made the aircraft indispensable in supplying hard to reach areas.

Lockheed C 141B Starlifter.  The maximum cruising speed is 566 mph (910 km/h), the range with full payload is 2,293 miles (3,690 km), this is significantly increased if air refueling is used.

The McDonnell Douglas KC-10A Extender provides the capability to deploy tactical fighter forces simultaneously.  Power is provided by three General Electric CF6-50C2 turbofan engines of 52,500 lb (23,800 kg) each.

The Lockheed P 3 Orion, is a ASW patrol and attack aircraft.  All the following countries have purchased the Orion, Australia, Iran, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain.   The Orion was a development of the Lockheed Electra airliner, in August 1957 the US Navy called for design proposals for a new advanced aircraft for maritime patrol and submarine warfare.  Lockheed proposed a developed version of the civil Electra as its submission for the USN requirement, in April of 1958  the US Navy announced that this had been selected.  Power for the Orion is provided by four Allison T56-A14 turboprop engines of 4,910 ehp each, this gives a maximum speed at 15,000 feet (4,750 m) of 473 mph (761 km/h)

A selection of maritime patrol and submarine warfare aircraft.  I do not have exact details on the specification of these, and would be pleased to hear from anyone who can provide a short description of any of these.
