LINKS

list updated in September 2000

Ballistic, and In the 'Net: fan-owned sites for knowledgeable & interesting content, and lots of good links. The latter is now part of a league-wide network of commercially supported sites which are big, and active

The above sites' Message board: For gossip, fans' opinions, some humour, banter with other teams' fans, (and mindless abuse, but anyone's entitled to send anything in).

The Hartlepool United Official Website: Still being improved, with all the usual club-site stuff. On one page the manager answers fans' questions. Shows video clips of recent goals

Hartlepool From the Terrace, Inside Hartlepool from a Distance, are fan-run sites which all cover similar ground, but remain individual

Feelin' Blue: The newest Poolie site to hit the web is up and running

Hartlepool Mail: The staid old Mail has gone all brash and downmarket of late, but their new website is excellent, and there's daily coverage of Pools.

The Football News 'Pools page: For match reports and amazing statistics (also on every other team from England down to beyond the Conference)

For other Pools sites see links above

For a jolly look at Hartlepool the town, you must visit the Alternative guide to Hartlepool which, as well as being entertaining, also has a page about a PROPER cartoonist....

Mervyn the Monkey

Mervyn is the Monkey Business mascot, and has been around for many years, unlike some other mascots

Have you tried out

Monkey Business logo

the 'Pools Fanzine (The independent voice of Hartlepool United fans)

It is published approximately every two or three months during the season, and is written by YOU

check out the Monkey Business web site at http://www.bizz.hufc.net for info & archives

Monkey Business is now also represented on the web in a showcase of fanzines at http://www.standupifyouhatemanu.com

There you'll find some MB stuff, and you can also see what the opposition's up to.

finally, you can email me on elmo@pools.freeuk.com
