Mrs J Parsons and Mr S Pratten of Rednock School.

The Gloucestershire Society for Industrial Archaeology, GSIA, was formed in 1963 to promote the study of our industrial heritage, particularly that of Gloucestershire. Our activities include lectures, walks, fieldwork, coach trips, an annual journal and regular newsletter.

The 1997 programme will include visits to South Wales and Derby. Local visits will include Painswick Mills, Cirencester, Oldbury Power Station, a waterworks, the Cotswold Countryside Collection at Northleach, Nailsworth Mills and an excursion to the Forest of Dean. GSIA are hosts to the 1997 Western Region and Wales IA Conference to be held at Cirencester on April 12.

All are welcome at any of these events. For details contact Dr Ray Wilson, Oak House, Hamshill, Coaley, Dursley, Gloucestershire GL11 5EH (01453 860595), Miss Janet Crompton (0117 9248160) or Mr Frank Colls (01452 538366).
