The Royal Dorset Yacht Club is one of the oldest in the country having received the Royal Charter in1875 entitling it's members to fly the Blue Ensign. George V raced regularly in Weymouth Bay in his yacht 'Britannia' under the burgee of the RDYC and his racing flag and burgee were presented to the Club on his death. |
| The Club is situated just over a quarter of a mile along the quay from the new Marina Building in the Inner Harbour and occupies a unique location directly overlooking Weymouth's 17th century Old Harbour. Pontoon berths are available in the Marina and deepwater moorings in Portland Harbour nearby |

| This room is on the ground floor and
provides comfortable surroundings for day-to-day use by
members and visitors. As a private members club we
provide a bar service at club prices, bar snacks/meals,
showers, telephone and fax facilities, weather forecasts
and a pool table. All visiting Yachtsmen to Weymouth are welcome to use the Club Bar and facilities. |

Upper Lounge......................................................................Upper Function Room
| This spacious room has a panoramic view
of the Old Harbour where the comings and goings of
pleasure, commercial and fishing craft provide a constant
focus of attention. When not in use for Club events the room is available for private and business functions, including receptions,dinners, dances, seminars and promotion meetings and can accommodate up to 120 people. It has a fully equiped Kitchen adjoining for club usage. Catering for private events can be arranged. |
