Stirling Castle

Stirling castle is one of the most important forts in Scotland. It is no longer used. You can go and visit and look at the wonderful kitchens, recreated. You can discover all about its history on computers and displays. Look at the National trust for Scotland site, or Castles for more info.

Stirling castle has amazing kitchens. They have been recreated, with model cats under the tables, model rats and mice, with an entire banquet set out on the table ready to be delivered into the main hall. There are wax models of maids and cooks working at the units. The castle has to be one of the best living museums in Scotland. Nearby you can see the walace Monument and the Bruce monument(see Landmarks)Stirling is also a great town to visit.
