Scotland has been known for it's Whisky for 100s of years. Many Brands come from around here and have done for ages. "The Famous Grouse" distilled in Perth, "Talisker" brewed in Skye, "Glenmorangie" brewed in Ross-shire. To the right of the page you can see a special tin, which holds the bottle, if you buy the whisky for a present. Normally it is just in the bottle, with no can, because it's cheaper.
Whisky actually originaly came from Ireland, but Scotland has brewed it for so long, many people say they invented it. This is not true. Scots did change it about, and did come up with new blends and new water. In scotland there are many streams and stuff in the highlands, all of which have unique sources, some rain, some a spring, and all Whisky tastes slightly different. Whysky is about 40% vol, and comes in Bottles(1 litre),½ bottles(½ litre) and a gill(35cl). In a pub you get it in a glass as pure whisky(about a fith or a sith of a gill, one gill being 35cl, one glass being 7cl), or as a dram, which is whisky and water to taste, depending on who's driving and personal taste.
© You can use the picture of the whisky can in any way you wish, so long as you don't make any money and display the copyright. The reason for this is that it took me a 2 seconds to take it and used about a ¼ of a penny worth of electricity.
