Albert “Nobby” Clarke
It was with deep regret that the Ridgeway Military & Aviation Research Group became aware of the sudden death of member Albert Clarke, formally of the Parachute Regiment. Most members knew Albert by his nickname of “Nobby”.
Albert was a real character within the group, always cheery and full of stories, was open and easy to talk to and he would always take time to speak to anyone about his wartime exploits and adventures.
Recently the group was treated to a brief talk from “Nobby” on his signal cannon project and we were honoured to have it on display at the Museum for a period of time before his death
The group will sourly miss Albert and our deepest sympathies go out to his family and close friends.
