The Friends, families and Veterans  Of Welford (FVW ) is a separate group from the Ridgeway Military And Aviation Research Group (RMARG) but we share the common aim of promoting Welford's  history, both past and present, and we work very closely together on many local projects. 

The FVW meet on a 4 to 6 week informal basis to discuss matters relating to RAF Welford and consist of past base personnel and representatives of related base organizations and other interested parties. #

They have been instrumental in the setting up and maintaining of an Anglo American Garden of Remembrance. RMARG are represented on the committee by our chairman and a number of invited honorary  members and are delighted to be involved with the base open day organized every year by FVW members.

The FVW are in contact with many past Welford members both wartime, and post war station personnel and have many links with American based veteran organization's ,often attending the annual reunion of ex Welford personnel in the States as well as hosting  similar events within the UK .

While the FVW don't have there own web site we are happy to act as a postbox for them and pass on any emails about FVW to John Stevens.
