Grimsby Postmen's Band.

NOVEMBER, 1913.

GENTLEMEN,

I have great pleasure in presenting to you my Annual Report and Balance Sheet and I think you will agree with me that we have had a fairly successful year, being our first year out before the public. We have always been received well and

patronised by the public wherever we have been, and I think for our first year in public we should congratulate ourselves, and let our aim be to keep going forward, and keep improving each time we go out.We can boast of having a set of Instruments as good as any other Band in Lincolnshire, and a plucky lot of players at the back of them.We have had our troubles, as I suppose other bands have, of members coming and going. We have always had friends to help us when we have required it, for which they have my best thanks, and we hope to be able to return the same if necessary, and let our aim be to do unto others as we would be done by. I am pleased to say that financially we have nothing to' complain of. We have done well, and by hard work and perseverance by the end of another year we shall have a set of Instruments free of debt.We have had heavy expenses this year which we shall not have another year.We have had several engagements this year, and hope that our performances will warrant the same another year. I would like to thank all members of the Band for the help they have always given me. Several members have bought selections, &c.,during the year, which has been a great help financially. I again thank all supporters for past favours, trusting to receive the same in future.

Yours truly,

R. UPEX, Hon. Sec. G.P.B.
