At the old Delivery Office, Delivery Staff would sort their letters in to prep' frames that had 48 boxes in them. A single box in that frame might have been for an entire street. The next step would have been to sit down and sort each of the 48 boxes in to house number order.

At our new Delivery Office, we have RM2000 frames (as the photos above show). The frame has a seperate slot for every house on that walk. This means that the mail is sorted just the once by the Delivery person. The process is of course more efficient, and the Delivery person is able to pack his / her pouches sooner (right hand photo).
