| CLICK HERE | A short article (with two photos). One taken in the sorting office early this century, and the other about two staff who were very musical! |
| CLICK HERE | An excellent article going in to considerable detail about the Post Office. Prints out to six pages, and starts during the 15th century. |
| This is a handwritten accident book from Grimsby Delivery Office. It covers a period from the 1920's to the 1940's. There are many interesting accidents (by todays standards), including the time when some one was hit by a plane and survived. Click on the book, to read some of the more unusual ones. Thanks to Grimsby Postman Colin Wright for collating these together. | |
| Postal History
The old museum in King Edward Street London closed some years ago. Now the largest museum covering Postal history is maintained by ex Postman David Harrop. He is intending (as of April 2001) to build a web site, so a link will be provided in due course. The museum is at Wythenshawe Park which lies adjacent to the M56/A5103 interchange. It is open most Sundays and Bank Holidays, but check first with David on 0797 933 7325. Entry is free. |
