I am just forwarding this note to let people know that the
entrance to Notts
Pot is on the move again and could well be in an unsafe
condition. If you are
contemplating a trip I would think carefully before descending.
If you have a permit for Notts over the coming months and decide
not to
descend as a result of the condition of the entrance, the permit
will be good
for one of the other holes on the fell, provided you do not go
down the hole
where the another permit has been issued, etc - as this will
cause all sorts of
problems
