Newsletter No. 1            Feb 2000

The 1st day of February brought a welcome smile to the faces of the congregation at WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE with the Ordination of THREE new Ministers into the CCSH. The congregation was made up of visitors from Llanbradach in South Wales, Bristol in the West Country and the regulars of the Wotton-under-Edge Christian Church of Spiritual Healing. The Service was conducted by the Reverends Paul & Val Powell where Lyndon Paul Cecil, Roger Harold Brown-Wood and Joy Brown-Wood took Holy Orders and were Ordained into God's Holy Church.

The (now) Reverend Roger gave a reading from the New Testament from the book of Timothy, the Reverend Joy, who re-affirmed her vows (Joy is already a Christian Minister), read a passage from the teachings of White Eagle and the (now) Reverend Lyndon gave an address from his Spirit Guide.

There was a presentation of Healing Certificates for ELEVEN newly registered Healers from both Wales and the West Country.

There was a grand chorus of voices, made stronger by the Welsh contingent who passionately sang to the throng of a traditional Welsh Hymn "Calon Lan" (Pure Heart), other Hymns were "Take my life and let it be Consecrated Lord to Thee", "O Jesus I have promised" and "Spirit of God as Strong as the wind". A special guest solo was played in the form of a recording made by the Reverend Lyndon's mother (now in Spirit) of "You'll never walk alone", which was a total surprise to everyone most especially Reverend Lyndon. The Service finished with "Grant us Thy Peace", musical accompaniment was provided by the Reverend Val Powell.

Afterwards there was Healing followed by refreshments and much conversation, the general feeling was of good cheer.
