THE PARISH HALL
This warm and spacious hall was built in 1915. Some of the older members of the community will remember the dances which have been held there. The Parish Hall is still used today and continues to be a community building in the Parish. The hall has the following rooms and facilities available for hire: * Sprung maple dance floor 35ft x 48ft ( 10.66m x 14.6m ) * Kitchen & Toilet facilities * Small meeting room 17ft x 13ft ( 5.2m x 3.96m ) * Office ( with seperate access ) * Upstairs Room 38ft x 17ft ( 11.58m x 5.2m - can be divided if required ) The parish hall has a manager/caretaker who deals with bookings and routine maintenance. The church also employs a part time cleaner. The manager/caretaker is: Mr Jack Buller. TEL ( 01723) 503284 He can be contacted about all matters relating to the hall. At the present time the hall is used by the following groups:- * Emmanuel Playgroup * Scarborough Orchestral Society * Sequence Dancing * The Parish Tea Room & Shop ( open every Wednesday morning ) The Parish Hall has a Public Entertainment Licence and a Performing Rights Society Licence. Recent work on the hall has included :- * The rewiring of the entire building * Installation of fire doors and equipment to the current British Fire Safety Standards * The refurbishment of the kitchen * The improvement of the hall grounds * The systematic replacement of the windows with double glazed units
