Comment: Stumbled across your account by accident but found I had to read it all. Takes me back to 1994 when I was part of a 10 man relay that ran the route in the other direction. Always felt I would like to complete the journey with the return leg!!

Comment: Love the site thinking of doing the trip this summer and the map, stats, and costs have been a great help.

Have not decided whether to go South to North or North to South. have you any thoughts although I think provailing wing could be a major factor.

Thanks,

Matt

Comment: Great - lots of good information. I'm aiming to do the trip in 2004 but I think I'll be taking the softies option with my wife acting as my mechanic/trainer in the car which means I can ride in race trim on my Cannondale 1000 BUT I will be 64 and I aim to raise at least £2000 for charity so I don't feel too guilty!!! Comment: Excellent website...really enjoyed reading through your trip and preperations. My dad and I are thinking about doing the trip next summer (2003) having done the C2C in September (gentle break in!) and now feel that we need a bigger challenge! Regards Sally

Comment: I'm from Port Coquitlam, Canada just outside of Vancouver British Columbia and I will be doing the ride in two years at least that's the plan. Great ideas you've got there thanks for the info.

Comment: Great Stuff!
I found this "description" well organised and easy to follow.
I feel (almost) inspired to do it, but think 82 miles per day is just out of reach presently....perhaps some training is needed. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Comment: I liked the site. I am thinking of doing this trip next year (2003). I might take 3 weeks to do it. Is that harder or easier? Anyway, thanks for doing the trip and for putting it on the internet.

Comment: Really enjoyed your site. I did the same trip at the same time (but a different route), so it was interesting to compare. My site is at (Link) Happy to get your comments.

ps you *can* cross the rail bridge at Carbisdale Castle now. There is a new footbridge, although I admit I had a bit of a struggle carrying my bike up/down the steps, and I had less luggage than you!

Comment: I enjoyed reading your account of your LE to JoG trip. Most of the places you mention are very familiar as I've just done it for the fourth and definitely the last time. Best of luck with whatever you do next.
