The Prayer Group meets to pray! It is
ecumenical. By coming together, support is given to each other in the desire
to pray. Usually the focus is on some of the reading from the
Church. Some time is spent in quietness, letting God take the
initiative. More often than not the session is ended with the psalms and
prayers of Compline, the official night prayer of the Church and, afterwards, there is the
opportunity for a hot drink and a social moment for those who wish.
The group meets weekly on Wednesdays at 8.00 p.m. Although meetings are
held every week, people come when they can - some are regulars, others come two or three
times a year.
Anyone is welcome just to "come and see".
