Note that the higher ‘D’ and can be played with two different fingerings – the closed position giving a slightly sharper note.

Before attempting scales or tunes practice the overtones by closing all the holes and producing notes 1,5, 10a, 14.

Also, it is essential to master half-holing and be able to play the scales of D & G comfortably.
