Scott Walker
Vocalist & Musician

The Critics say: 'If this is your first introduction to the intoxicating music of Scott Walker, be warned: these pop songs may change your life.' (Jon Wilde, 1991)

The Mind says: Former Walker Brother and reclusive pop/avant-garde journeyman. This is real love-it- or-hate-it stuff - either gorgeous life-affirming anthems or cheesy 60's nonsense, depending on whether your soul is in deep freeze or not.

Recommended: No Regrets - The Best of Scott Walker and the Walker Brothers (1992) is a good starting point, although Scott 4 is possibly the best album ever made...

Useless fact: In the late 60's Scott 'retired' to a monastry, only to be thrown out by the monks who were sick of being besieged by young girls. What's wrong with these people?

Tip: The solo stuff is better.
