Yellowstone National Park's Diverse Wildlife

These Yellowstone National Park wildlife pictures were taken by the author during one of his trips to Yellowstone National Park. The wildlife diversity in Yellowstone National Park is spectacular and wildlife is very often encountered whilst driving or hiking through the park.

In Yellowstone Park you get a little tempted to get too close for the sake of a good photograph. This isn't advisable as there have been many accidents and some fatalities in the Yellowstone National Park park due to animal encounters.

Bears are a particular problem in Yellowstone National Park and bear-proof garbage cans are prevalent as well as in many other US National Parks. There are many warnings about possible injury and advice is given on animal avoidance in all the park hand-outs. Please take care when you visit Yellowstone.
