Simply-Gorgeous has been reviewing the monthly lads mags, FHM, Maxim, Loaded, Front and ICE, since 2000. And reviewing the weekly lads mags, Nuts and ZOO, since they began publication in 2004. This page is an llustrated Review of some of the most recent issues, which includes some scans of representative pictures from the mags. Mags reviewed on this page include recent issues of Nuts, ZOO, Loaded and Front. All our reviews are always posted in Text Format on our Notice Board, before they appear on this page, normally within a couple of days after each magazine becomes available. The text reviews are more detailed, but they don't show any pictures. Nuts

27th June 2008 Issue

The cover of Nuts this week carries the caption "Big Brother's Steph". The main feature inside is a 10-page pictorial of her.

The best feature in this week's issue is a 4-page pictorial of Zoe Stollery (shown right).

13th June 2008 Issue

The main feature in Nuts this week is a 12-page pictorial called "Britain's Best New Boobs". It consists of a set of almost-full-page pics of Page 3 girls - Eva, Katie-Marie, Lindsey Strutt, Sammie Braddy, and 2 new girls - Sophie and Madison. The set includes a double-page spread of all the girls standing together in a line, and the the mag also comes with a separate pull-out poster of the same shot.

ZOO

27th June 2008 Issue

The cover of ZOO this week carries the caption "Big Boobs Special". The main feature inside is a 14-page pictorial of mostly full-page pics. This begins with 8 pages of Malene Espensen (shown just below). The pictorial also includes Seren Gibson, Sam Cooke, Sammy Braddy, Sophie Reade, Sammie Pennington, Amy-Lu Bennett, Amii Grove and Emma Frain.

13th June 2008 Issue

The cover of ZOO this week carries the caption "Jordan's Sister". The feature inside is a 6-page pictorial, really bland lifeless pics, in underwear. There's an article about Jordan's sister in this weekend's News of The World: Jordan's sister (News of the World). According to the article she was naturally a size C, then had a boob job to go to size E, and is planning a further boob job to go to a FF. She sounds very yucky.

ZOO also has a 6-page pictorial of Emma Frain (shown right). She has a much better body than Jordan's sister; the posing is better and the photography is better. This is a far better pictorial than the cover shoot. And ZOO's News has a good almost-full-page nude shot of Zoe Stollery.

Loaded

July 2008 Issue

The cover shows Roxanne Pallet, a soap actress. The main feature inside is an 8-page pictorial of her. All the shots are meant to be "countryside" shots (similar to the cover shot). But they are actually all taken in a studio with a painted "countryside" backdrop. Because we like to do real countryside pics ourselves, we think that trying to recreate countryside using a painted backdrop is very amateurish.

There's a 3-page pictorial of Loaded's regular model, Lindsey Strutt. All the shots have quite dramatic lighting (as in the example at left) with a lot of tone in them. This simple set is better than many of the more contrived pictorials of Lindsey that we've seen recently. It's a pity there are only 3 pics in the set.

Then Loaded has a 6-page feature on the girls of the BBC3 series "Glamour Girls". This starts with a double-page spread showing Samantha Bond, with assistants Nikki and Chrissy, surrounded by Rhian Sugden, Ella Cole, Amy Diamond and Bianca, who are all nude. Then there are separate interviews with each of the girls and individual photos. Shown at left is Rhian. These interviews are quite sensible (unlike many model interviews). The girls are asked about what filming the series was like, and such. Brief, but worth a read.

Finally Loaded has a 3-page pictorial of 2 girls from "Shipwrecked", Carly and Lottie, in a shower together. There are just 3 shots in the set. As with the Lyndsey Strutt pictorial, it's a pity there are not a few more pics in this set.

Front

July 2008 Issue

The cover of July Front is a group shot of Sun Page 3 girls - Sam Cooke, Nikkala Stott, Amii Grove, Peta Todd and Vikki Blows. The main girlie feature inside is a 20-page pictorial of them. And there are some interviews with the girls. We commented on the interviews in this month's Loaded, saying how sensible those were. The Front interviews are more in bimboland, with questions along the lines of how many pints can girls take.
