Judgement Day

PART 4

Murmurs were heard from the floor
As His Snakeship ended his speech,
And some went so far as to suggest
That they the Trinity should impeach.

Among the rising clamour in the Hall
God spoke: "This tumult I shan't condone!
And let it be known that for the moment
I've decided this judgement to postpone."

"Angels, clear the Hall! Son and Spirit!
I will see you in my chambers presently."

And that was the last time that anyone
Would again set eyes on the Trinity.

And although there's no end to rumours
There's yet nothing concrete to report:
Still, lights were installed in the 'darkness'
And the 'lake' is now used for water sport.

Your "Heaven 'n' Hell" reporter
Is going away on a short vacation.
I'll be back in an aeon and a quarter
And give you further information.
You know my motto: Never say die!
But until then, I bid you good-bye.
